About Smritivan

Memory deserves a home that outlives the transaction.

Smritivan is where the photographs delivered by Indian photography studios are kept — private, searchable, and in one place. Not a folder that fills up or a link that expires in a week.

The name

A forest of memories

स्मृति (smriti) means memory. वन (van) means a forest, a grove. Together — स्मृतिवन — a forest of memories. The idea is already in the word.

Each wedding is a tree that is never cut down. What grows is the grove: across a couple's life — the wedding, then anniversaries, a first child, family portraits — and across a studio's entire history of clients. And it grows on its own. Anniversaries come around. Guests become clients. Past couples book again.

The poppy in our mark is the flower of remembrance.

Each wedding is a tree that is never cut down.

Why we started

The link that dies

A wedding studio spends months on the most important photographs a couple will ever own. Then it hands them over as a link — one that starts dying the day it's sent. It expires. It fills the couple's phone. It gets buried in a chat thread. Two years on, nobody can find it.

And the studio loses more than a file. It loses the one channel that could have brought the next booking — the hundreds of guests who saw that work, many of them planning their own weddings, walking past an open door.

We built Smritivan to make the hand-off permanent — for the couple, and for the studio.

What we believe

Our principles

  • Memory is sacred.

It should outlive the deal that created it. Everything we build starts there.

  • No link that dies.

A Smritivan album isn't a share link that expires in a week. It stays live as long as it's kept up — and if a renewal lapses, there's a grace period and a warning before anything is removed.

  • Built for the Indian wedding.

Multi-day events, phone-number logins, WhatsApp sharing, rupee pricing, face search across thousands of guests. Not a Western tool with the labels changed.

  • Generous to studios.

A free portfolio, a directory listing, leads, and a share of every renewal — before we ask for much in return.

What we're building

One place, doing two jobs

For the couple — a private gallery that opens on any phone, no app. Mark favourites, search by face, download without limits, and share with family through links that expire on their own.

For the studio — every album quietly builds a free studio page and a listing in our directory. Guests see the work and a way to reach you. Couples leave reviews. Anniversaries become a reason to reconnect. Renewals pay into your wallet.

One payment up front, not a monthly subscription.

Where this goes

From weddings to a memory home

The name says memory, not wedding — on purpose. The same private, face-searchable grove extends naturally: anniversary shoots, a first child, family portraits, and in time a memory home a family owns directly and passes on.

The wedding is where we start. It isn't where we stop.

A note

Who's behind it

Smritivan is built by Navigo, a small software team in India, working closely with photography studios — solo shooters and established houses alike — who deliver over Drive and WhatsApp today and want something better for their couples.

We're a young product, still learning from every studio that trusts us with their clients' photographs. If you run a studio, or you're a couple trying to find your album, we'd like to hear from you.
